"If you are a non-smoker, do yourself a favour and skip this place. The hotel uses central air conditioning and the rooms on the non-smoking floor (level 7) smell musky with a stale cigarette stench. We had 3 rooms in my group and all the rooms were the same even when we changed rooms. "Very nice hotel. A little dated but nice. We stayed in a Japanese style room with futons which was nice but very few electrical outlets. Not a big deal. The private onsen we had was very tiny so we opted for the public one which was great! So unless you’re shy, forego the private onsen in your room. Dinner was a kaiseki ryori (Japanese multi course dinner) which was beautiful, just not my favorite… breakfast was a combination of a Japanese course with buffet. Hotel is very close to the park and shops. I read a recent review online complaining about lack of a/c… there is a/c, works very well it is not obvious but it’s a dial with off, low, med, high. The reviewer should have used google translate ( the off did translate to cut). "

We had dinner at 6:30 (the last time slot offered by the hotel), at 6:50 some food already running out and no refill. I have visited Japan for many times and never seen this happens before.
