"As nice as the owner and family are, I can't really recommend this place. Location is 2km out of town so you must have a car. Location is very quiet at night but in the hotel room you can hear water running from toilets etc in other rooms and people walking on the floor above. And I had some sort of tapping sound in my room early in the morning on the second night which made it hard to sleep. "A truly traditional Japanese experience! As soon as I arrived, I was asked to change into their slippers and relax in the lobby while enjoying a welcome drink，all while looking out over the most peaceful lake view. Later, the staff carried my luggage to the room and thoughtfully explained every detail. The private onsen was spotless, and the view from the window was absolutely breathtaking. The public bath was serene and open until midnight. Everything was very clean, and all the amenities were of high selection. The breakfast was fantastic! The sashimi was so fresh and delicious that even someone like me, who usually doesn’t eat raw fish, enjoyed it without any fishy taste. The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and sweet, truly made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to experience authentic Japanese hospitality and peaceful luxury by Lake Toya."
