This a lovely welcoming home in a beautiful natural rural location. The bedroom (and the whole house) was very comfortable with antique furniture and a nice collection of antique nick nacks and art. The mattress on our bed was on the firm side which may not suit everybody. All in all it was a very nice change from the usual utilitarian spaces. The owner is very thoughtful and responsive, and the breakfast choices were healthy fresh and delicious.

We received such a warm welcome at The Boars Head. It felt like everything in the room was really high spec. Loved that we had a stocked fridge (you had to pay for most items, though!) with free milk and a free dram each, too! A espresso machine with good choice of coffees and tea bags. I was staying in the hotel just before heading back down to Manchester on Saturday (I didn't want to travel Friday evening). I've got to say this is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I really couldn't fault anything (maybe the wifi in the evening). I stayed for evening meal and that was absolutely fantastic food. We booked a 5 night break at a special price and found that the offer was outstanding. The receptionist was friendly as were all the staff especially the breakfast lady in charge. Booked this weekend break at the last minute. We were very impressed with our accommodation. The layout of our room in the courtyard was very impressive. Just a short walk to the dinning area for breakfast. Breakfast was very well presented and the right temperature so that it was very enjoyable.
