"We love Puerto Rico and were very excited to stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Juan, but noticed some issues as soon as we checked in. Upon arriving in the room, we found a medicine plunger behind the headboard of the bed. Okay, maybe somethings get missed when cleaning a room, but it was pretty obvious. I let it go because it was late and we were tired from a day of traveling - all I wanted to do was take a shower and go to bed. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the bathroom sink or shower. When I let the front desk know, they sent maintenance to fix it. The maintenance guys were nice, but unable to fix the issue. The front desk told me they would keep working on it. After two days with no hot water, I asked for a new room. They told me they were booked and I would have to wait. I told them that was unacceptable. I said my family and I have been taking cold showers for two days. I asked the front desk if they would accept that while they were on vacation. They eventually admitted they would not and somehow found us a new room, even though previously they told me they were all booked. We packed up all our suitcases and moved to the new room with no help from the staff. The new room did have hot water. The remaining days in the room were fine. The breakfast buffet consists of scrambled eggs, fried ham, grapefruit slices, and cereal. They ran out of coffee often. The complementary happy hour drinks were in 5oz plastic cups full of ice and they had chips and salsa."

"The location is lovely and a good value. However the place needs work and a few low-cost touches would make it wonderful. For example - no desk/work table. No user-accessible power points. Adding 4 power strips (one by each be, one by a work table suitable for a laptop. Better wifi - it shows a 2nd floor system but no password for it."

"This property is extremely close to the highway. Found it hard to sleep as you could hear the traffic at all hours. A sound machine in the rooms might be a nice amenity. The WiFi hardly worked and really needs to be upgraded. The towels in the rooms were scratchy, for the amount of money we paid. I would have liked to have had soft, cozy towels and maybe a nice robe. We had a room with a kitchenette; a small table and 2 chairs would have been nice. The pool area is small and not many lounge chairs. The pool does have a bar that serves drinks and food options; however, it does not open until 12:30. The property was nice otherwise, but not sure it was worth the nightly rate and resort fee."

"Great resort, staff was friendly. The bar tender OVI was such a pleasure. His professionalism was unmatched. We told him me and my wife was there for my birthday and the next day he surprised us with a birthday balloon. Such a nice gesture. Thanks OVI and staff for such a nice birthday experience!!! Will be back for sure!!! "

"The staff was amazing!!! The room was super clean but boring. No pictures and minimal furniture. AC was ice cold and location was perfect. Would def stay again. Thanks to the staff especially Luka for making our trip awesome!! "
