"Let's be honest. It's a nice hotel, but it was not a $500 a night hotel not by a long shot. I've stayed in some beautiful places for less and felt for comfortable. Everything is extremely dated, the beds were painfully hard..and it was so stuffy even with the windows wide open all night. Yes, it's clean and everyone is friendly but I expected more."

"I had a beautiful stay here. The location and view of the Eiger from the hotel terrace are amazing. I wish they would allow visitors to sit and relax there past 9 PM but I guess it makes sense to keep it quiet for the surrounding hotel rooms. The breakfast in the morning was also really good. The hotel has a fan in the room but the room was still really hot so maybe a portable A/C would be nice to offer guests in the heat of summer. Overall I really enjoyed staying here."

"We enjoyed many aspects of our stay, but our first room had a very strong urine odor. Most likely a pet from a previous stay had urinated on the carpet. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, the housekeeping manager came to inspect the room but said she could not detect the smell. The hotel did respond by arranging for the carpet to be cleaned and shampooed, so we stayed in the room that night. "The staff are so helpful and attentive, they go above and beyond. Thomas also shared a lot of knowledge about the hikes around the area that was super helpful to us. The property is wonderful: cozy, comfortable, clean. We were fortunate to have a corner room with a balcony and the views are amazing. There is a shared fridge in the lobby you can use, there are also extra hiking poles if needed. We also loved seeing the bunnies when we come in at the end of the day."
