"We stayed for 3 days and really liked the place. It was generally clean and good value. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was it is a bit dated and the bed was a bit small for such a big room (garden view). Good location next to river and 25 mins from cbd."

"You get free parking which was a drawcard. The staff were friendly. But the room was a bit of a mixed bag with some mould spots on the bathroom ceiling and some of furniture wasn't in good condition. The bed was too uncomfortable so we only stayed one night out of three. "

"Definitely not for Karen’s but not hostel is. The guy running has great morals and stands up for what’s right. Super easy guy too get along with and makes you feel safe and comfortable. We actually ended up extending due too the 24/7 in house security. Top bloke!"

"Onsite parking for a fee but secure. Staff were lovely. The room however was dirty. Hair in the shower drain and needed a good clean. Not impressed. In the kitchen if you have the kettle on and plug in laptop (which is what we did) it trips the fuse and you have no power. Not good. Luckily we were only there for one night. The coffee machine in reception is good however again, not cleaned properly. "

"Studio rooms are somewhat compact; and noisy if you have someone in an adjacent apartment-type room incorrectly using their microwave at unsociable hours. Otherwise bed is comfortable, shower is good and housekeeping is very good "

"It’s a small boutique hotel designed for young demographic but we enjoyed staying here and didn’t feel uncomfortable at all (we are in our 40’s). Funky styled and friendly staff and à la carte breakfast was excellent. The roof top bar was nice too."

"Lanson Place in Melbourne is an extremely nice hotel. I was pleasantly surprised on all accounts. The hotel lobby/lounge is beautifully designed, the rooms are also very well appointed with beautiful views and the gym is especially nice!"
