"I’ve been to the Dominican Republic many times and stayed at both high-end luxury resorts like Secrets, as well as more budget-friendly resorts like Catalonia Bávaro. I’ve also stayed at Lopesan, and unfortunately this resort would probably rank last for me. In my opinion, it’s definitely not a true 5-star resort — although there were still some positives. Pros: • The hotel was consistently clean • Staff were overall friendly and fairly helpful Cons: • This side of Punta Cana has a significant amount of seaweed. If having a beautiful beach is important to you, I’d recommend visiting Saona Island or staying closer to Bávaro Beach instead. • Food selection was quite limited. I’d rate the adults-only side around a 2/5, while the main resort restaurants were closer to a 3.5/5. • The rooms showed a lot of wear and moisture damage. We noticed many room doors throughout the resort that were visibly damaged and in need of repair. • Nightlife was very underwhelming — most things seemed to shut down around 10:30 PM. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but I personally wouldn’t consider this a 5-star resort. I’d rate it closer to a 3.5-4 star at best, and I don’t think it was worth the $2,600 price point. Personally, I’d choose Lopesan or spend a bit more money for a higher end experience. Cheers"

"Great, relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff from check-in to the swim up bar and everywhere in between. We booked an elite class room and it was absolutely worth it. My one small wish for the room was that there were more hooks in the bathroom. There were only 2 hooks in a large bathroom, and as two women who both used 2 towels to shower each day, we just didn't have anywhere to put them all. That's it. My only complaint. Would love to visit again."

"This resort was top notch. It is amazing and you have a butler and you can do room service. We had a swim up pool room which is a must have. We have stayed at two other resorts in the Dominican Republic and this resort has well exceeded any expectations we had and it is the best one we have ever stayed at. Very clean, the staff was either cleaning the pool, trimming the trees and bushes or cleaning up."

"We travelled in April with a group of friends and children aged 6-8 yrs old. It was a fantastic stay. Pros: -beautiful resort, the rooms were very spacious and the grounds well maintained. If you look around you can always see staff working hard doing maintenance, they do a great job. - so many amenities. Our family enjoyed the many pools, water park, arcade, VR room, mini golf, bowling. Some things cost extra but that was all made clear before we travelled so we were prepared for that. - the beach is beautiful, however very rough. We still enjoyed it, just keep a close watch on everyone. Again this was something we knew beforehand so we weren’t surprised. - the staff was all very friendly, this really stood out to me. It didn’t matter who we encountered, they were all lovely! Check in and check out was very smooth and they accommodated our request to be placed close to our other friends. - food was great for all inclusive. Plenty of options. We liked not having to make reservations for most restaurants. We ate early (6 pm) because of the children, and we never had to wait long to be seated. There were several breakfast options, Isla was our favourite. Nice calm atmosphere and lots of fresh options. The coffee shop in the main lobby was also amazing! Also there are food trucks around the pools which was convenient with kids! Cons: - very large, but this was not a huge hinderance for us. I will say the trolly system was excellent!"

"Property is huge, clean, and just beautiful. We had the basic resort pool view room, and it was very spacious. We had only 1 thing to say about the room well 2. 1 it had a smell of almost like a moldy smell and 2 it gets cold, so we made sure to turn off the A/C that auto came on when you entered the room. We had no issues with the staff, good luck with getting a lounger around the main (infinity) pool. There's a variety of food choices daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the buffet. Our 1 other thing about the property is we felt that there should be more daily activities to entertain guest mid-day around noonish-1pm. Also, the lounges, sports bars, theaters etc. didn't open until late in the evening 10pm and later. So, after breakfast until 230-3pm and during dinner time 6-630p-10pm there's nothing to do. if you want to just chill, relax at beach or by the pool all day until about 6-630pm this is perfect! Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, but we would have enjoyed even the more if we had more to do during the day. We are not big "excursion or beach (sunbathing)" type of people. We still had a beautiful time - we got to catch up on rest, enjoy the property and enjoy time away from home! OAN - bring firestick or something to plug into the TV for if/when you're in the room to watch TV on because not many English channels to watch on tv."
