Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"There’s a reason why my husband and I have travelled to this resort three times! Secrets Akumal checks off all of our boxes in terms of service, location, food, and amenities. The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive, and our room was always spotless with turn down service at night! Snorkelling is also big on our list and we have seen everything from sting rays, turtles, barracudas and many different kinds of reef fish. The resort grounds are lush and beautiful with many lovely flowers and palms. Each path has something different to look forward to! We’d like to give a huge shout- out to Baltazar at the Oceana restaurant for his attentiveness, and for making our last dinner on the resort a memorable one! He truly went above and beyond. If you travel to Secrets Akumal, you will dream about going back!"

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"Pros: - Even though the buffet choices were not like other bigger resorts, the food quality and taste was good. - The resort is in a residential area. So you can walk around, see some stores and beaches. Cons: - It is surprisingly small if you’re used to larger resorts. - If you are looking for that typical carribean beach resort experience, don’t stay here. It doesn’t have a beach you could swim in. It’s basically for kids. An enclosed shallow section full of stones and seaweed. - Each of their few restaurants are closed for a couple nights of the week. So your dining options aren’t a lot on any given night. - The shows aren’t that good if you compare them to some other bigger resorts you’ve stayed in. - They have just one pool and another tiny one if you upgrade to their preferred club. All in all, I think this resort is more for people with kids and those who want a quiet place to just relax."

"One of my favorite places to stay for the last 10 years!"

Catalonia Royal Tulum Adults Only - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"This is my third time here, the hotel is beautiful, people are very friendly, they remember your name after the first day. I would come back next year except that even they say it is 100% smoke free but people smoke everywhere and nobody can do anything about it, their excuse is that they don't want to upset the smoking customers"

Bahia Principe Explore Coba - All Inclusive
4/10 Poor
"Our stay at Bahia Principe Explore Coba was okay. Check-in took a group of us over an hour. There was rarely staff at guest services, and we would wait for a while before anyone would come help us. Even some of the staff tended to be rude at times, but most gave good service. À La Carte at the Japanese Restaurant was the best food we had the whole trip. As for the buffet, the food on our first stay was awful. The rest of the week was decent, but I definitely could not bring a picky eater to this place. Simple foods like burgers and mac n’ cheese were not good at all. The snack hut was not great either. Food overall was usually cold. The rooms were kept nice but had a musty smell to them, probably due to humidity. Our A/C was set super low and still did not get any cooler than 25 Celsius. Upon arriving, we had 4 room between a group of us. All of us had booked the exact same trip at the same time, and half of us had access to sister resorts included, while the other half of us had to pay ~$250 to have access the these other resorts. I do understand that this is not the fault of the resort but of Expedia, so I did not include this is my rating. However, this is worth a mentions for those looking to book this resort. Overall, our time was okay, but we did expect better in a resort. We will definitely look at staying elsewhere next time."

Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"We recently stayed at the Family Selection section of Grand Palladium Kantenah and had a great overall experience. The resort is beautiful, very tropical, and perfect for a relaxing family vacation. The Family Selection service made the trip feel more comfortable and convenient, especially with the family-friendly amenities and quieter atmosphere. The food overall was very good for an all-inclusive resort. The buffet had plenty of variety, and our favorite restaurant was definitely La Paisana — the food felt the most authentic and flavorful during the trip. The à la carte restaurants were decent, but we felt they could be a little more consistent in quality and service. One of the biggest surprises was the Bravo Show. We didn’t expect too much at first, but the performances, music, and energy were much better than expected and became one of the highlights of our stay. The pools, beach, and resort grounds were all excellent, and the staff were friendly and hardworking throughout the vacation. Overall, Family Selection provided a very enjoyable and relaxing family experience with good food, great entertainment, and a beautiful resort atmosphere. We would definitely consider coming back again."
