"This hotel was absolutely perfect for our family of five! Three teenage kids plus my wife and I but the room was definitely big enough for all of us. Perfect location, right in the heart of Kyoto. Plenty of good restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff at the hotel extremely pleasant and friendly. Would definitely stay here again"

I would say its on the lower end of 5 star hotels, not that its lacking in any way but the vibe is more corporate than luxury. This was the third hotel we stayed at in Japan for our honeymoon. "Hotel is good and clean. Rooms are large for Japan standard. The hotel is not as close to attractions in Kyoto as it is made out to be. Add an extra 10 mins to get to major attractions by walking. Despite handing over my passport with my name on it, hotel staff checked me into someone else’s room and I only found out because the welcome card in the room had someone else’s name on it. I had already unpacked my belongings and after informing the staff of the welcome card, they confirmed they had...

"Amazing property!!! 100% would recommend. The room was absolutely beautiful! Loved the huge in room tub. My only small complaint was the pillows were too hard and the hotel didn’t have any others available. But I would still absolutely recommend and stay there again!"
