"The room was big and felt very comfortable and luxurious. The bed was huge and super comfy. Shower was good. Loved the decor. The Ropemaker room is in the basement but it was still felt light and airy - you could open the window. Lovely building. Quiet building. Welcoming entrance. Great location, just off Leith High Street and a tram stop round the corner. Easy to get into Central Edinburgh. A second mirror in the room itself would be useful especially for women to dry their hair or put on...

"The self check-in was really easy. However, I did not see any employee dying my stay. For the cleanliness of the room, the floor was kind of dirty. I could see crumbs that weren’t mine, which is pretty disgusting. Plus, my bed was not made well at all, it looks like it was done in a hurry. On the positive side, it was very calm and I slept well. "

"Our room was on the forth floor and there is no elevator. So we had to carry our luggage up all of those small twisty carpeted steps. Not fun and not possible for my elderly mother. They also had our room clean early but wouldn’t let us in it early to leave our luggage. No very helpful. Also our bathroom was the size of a closet with a very small phone booth for a shower. Not great but clean for a short stay."

"We stayed one night to ride the Strathspey steam train which was a 10 minute walk down the road. There were good local restaurants to eat at for lunch and dinner and the room was super cute and the king bed was super comfy."

"It was in the chinese quarter, national park very close.. everything was fine, but very cold all night.. the room was only Luke warm at ambout 5pm.. No way, I’ve turning the heat up and then it went off at 7 pm and didn’t come back on until the following morning.. "
