Great Hotel Provided You Drive!
It was a unique experience for us to stay in a drive-in hotel. Yup, you basically drive into a your own private garage and your room is just above you. This hotel is for people you drive (rent a car) because there is no other transport directly to the hotel unless it is a taxi (costly!). From the airport to the hotel it takes 40 mins on the highway which have no traffic at all throughout the day and night. The room is spacious and the bathroom extremely huge! All the amenities of a hotel including complimentary WIFI (no password required), 257 channels (yes, we counted!) and some English movie channels. Only set back of the room is the cigarette smell. So we bought an air freshener and it helps a lot! There is no reception. So upon reaching the hotel, you either call them (the number on your Hotels.com confirmation slip) or go knocking at the small door at the side of the building. The nearest town is 1km away. Convenience shops and eateries. Please note all shops on Jeju Island closes at 2pm to 5pm. It's their siesta time it seems! 5km from the hotel is Pyeong Beach A lovely seaside town. I would return and stay at JK Drive In once again.
