"The view from our room was gorgeous and the enclosed balcony with heater was an unexpected bonus. The room was nice but thought the bathroom looked ‘tired’. From previous reviews, I thought the hotel would feel much more special than it did. We were here to celebrate a special birthday ( which the hotel were aware of) but that seemed to pass them by. "We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. "

"Fabulous hotel. Friendly staff and wonderful position. We had a gorgeous room over looking the estuary. Couldn't fault anything. My husband collapsed in Salcombe and everyone at the hotel was very helpful, particularly members of the public who came to my husbands aid. I did thank the people that helped us but not having anyone's telephone numbers was not able to thank them properly. It was so appreciated. "Had a lovely night away. Room was clean and nice to have a fridge with fresh milk for coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Outside areas are great for relaxing and nice to have an outside pool. In a quiet area but within walking distance to the beach, train station and town. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend.
