"A delightful place to stay in a great location with lovely hosts. A short 10-15 minute walk and you're in middle of town with all the sights. Breakfast consists of lots of fresh homemade options that are top notch. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with refreshments and amazing smelling toiletries. Would love to stay again. "Cant beat the location. Just next to York Minster and tons of restaurants. Walking distance to the Shambles and almost everything. The only issue that actually makes our stay not comfortable is that the hotel does not have Air conditioner. We were there during heat wave and this make the stay in the room really unbearable. The temperature in the room was so much higher than the outside. The staff was nice and try to give us 2 fans and a bucket of ice. Still felt very hot. The breakfast was set...

"I had such a wonderful experience. The room was very nicely decorated and top of the line. Everything was beautiful, clean, lots of amenities. I had a small accident and broke my foot, the hosts were so helpful and really went out of their way. Everything I needed was there and it was easily accessible to the city center. I cant wait to return. Top boutique hotel I've ever stayed at. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. I'm so glad I booked here! "

"This is a wonderful old building with quaint decor, a lovely staff, and very tasty breakfast. It's perfectly located being both easy to get to from the train station and a short stroll from the sites of York. There is a bit of noise from the bars, but luckily they provide ear plugs of you need them."
