"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We had the beautiful loft room overlooking the canal.it was even better than the photos. The room was spotlessly clean. Every morning we enjoyed the complimentary coffee. The staff was wonderful and we loved the quiet walks along the canals to get to the center of town (about 15 mins). We would definitely stay again."

"The rooms are located right at the walking center of Leiden in a lovely restored building on one of the loveliest canals. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Turn left out the door to the public market and the main shopping streets. Turn right to the lovely Pieterskerk (c 1221), many nice restaurants on the Cloksteg and the old academic buildings of the venerable Leiden University and it’s famous gardens."

The path to the rooms feels early bordello: thick purple carpet with pink lighting and deep blue walls. That said, my room was large, clean and modern. "Convenient location, the staff was very helpful too! The rooms were spacious enough, and the layout really worked for two people. I noticed there was dirty cutlery and dishware in the room when we checked in. I placed the cutlery aside so it would get taken away/replaced each day, but it would end up back next to the coffee maker, and was not getting replaced. This was a bit disappointing, but we otherwise had a nice stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout our visit. They generously allowed us to store our luggage until 5:30 p.m. after check-out so we could spend the day doing research at the university library. Since the front desk is not staffed after 2:00 p.m., they clearly explained how to contact them. When we called, they immediately opened the door remotely so we could collect our luggage. It was a very clever and convenient system, and everything worked...

"We arrived late so no reception but instructions were clear to get to room. Unfortunately the hotel and room smell like a barn but u get used to it. We woke up early to a ton of seagulls attacking the garbage bags for a few hours starting at 4:3am that was in bags just beside the hotel. I don’t know if I would rush back to this place. But the breakfast and receptionist at Rembrandt were good and the location is nice (other than being beside two big garbage bins) Thanks."

"Clean and spacious room. The mattresses are okay. Room-reception distance is pretty far and no help with the luggage or when they forget to put the amenities; you have to get it yourself. There is a shuttle service 3x in 2 hours. Good restaurant in the hotel."
