"Hotel was very clean,staff very helpful. Breakfast was ok but the quality of cooked food could have been better. We went for a wedding which was lovely. We didn't use the spa or pool as only there for one night. It was the hottest day of the year and in the parts that were air conditioned it was ok but the actual wedding was outside in the garden and there was no shade for the quests we were all melting and got sun burnt so would advise if its the reason for your visit take hats or umbrella. "We had the most wonderful stay. Our room was beautiful and the big bath was a perfect treat! Also , the bed and pillows were super comfortable. Meals were delicious and the staff were courteous and friendly. We are already planning a longer stay in this really lovely hotel."

"Nice hotel, an older building with a more modern extension. Professional friendly and service oriented staff everywhere. We just had an anniversary night away and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dinner was excellent and well served and waited on. Our bedroom wasn’t air conditioned and that would have been a bonus as it was in the 30s outside, however the fan in the room was a life saver. Other rooms do have aircon so it’s worth asking."

Great Bombay Saturday dinner selection - what a lovely extra surprise. Lovely, attentive and efficient staff, every one, from chefs to reception. Peaceful landscaped grounds for refreshing wander after long drive. Superb value breakfast. Highly recommend."

"It’s a very old and unique building, the main hotel has been updated to an excellent standard, Going to the breakfast room on the -1 level, you can see photos of the area and the entrance to the breakfast room tunnels under the main load and. Has a sea front terrace on the floor and the floor above. The young staff in the complex were helpful and smart"

"Historic character inn with rooms right in the centre of town. Parking is available in nearby municipal pay and display car parks - but do check with the hotel beforehand for details of which to park in as the closest is a short stay with a maximum stay of only 4 hours. There is a separate long stay car park within walking distance. Bedrooms have been stylishly brought up to twenty first century standards. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended."
