"I liked the location near the motorway - it's a busy golf and leisure club. Car park was full. Very quiet location, rooms spacious but there's no air conditioning. Nice bar where you can get a drink or a snack. Breakfast was nice - service not quite on point"

"Overall stay was okay, venue in itself was clean and well maintained. However there was no restaurant open due to a conference being held, only the bar was open with a limited menu. Food took over an hour to arrive and staff had to be reminded several times. On arrival food was cold and at that point not enjoyable for the overly expensive price."

"I booked a room for one night. I was allocated room 440. The room was unbearably hot and was uninhabitable as a consequence. Despite my protestations I was unable to move rooms and ended up having to sleep in the car. I ended up asking for a refund which is yet to be forthcoming. I am waiting to hear from the nanager"

"The hotel corridor was very dark, the room was dark, couldnt see to put key card in. Lighting in the room was bad. No light over unit where tea and coffee facilities were. Had to use my phone to see some light switches."

"I stayed at the Blacksmith Arms for 1 night on the 6th July. I was advised by email the day before to say that there would be no-one there when I arrived via email. They sent instructions to obtain the key, the pub was closed and I was the only person staying there, I have since been advised that the pub was closed on Mondays & Tuesday’s. Had issues sorting the TV out and after a while realised the aerial was unplugged. No breakfast available and via email was advised of somewhere I could...

"The staff was pretty pleasant when we arrived. The check-in was quick. I think the only issue that I really had is that one they don’t offer face towels. To wash your face. There was no refrigerator in the rooms and we had a special-needs child, nonverbal and we needed a refrigerator in the room. We had to utilize ice back to keep his food cold. It was a quick stay."

"We stayed here overnight as our flight was delayed and arrived near the midnight. There is a shuttle at Gatwick platform 9 (south terminal) that will take you to this hotel for £5. The check in was straight forward and easy. The room was super clean with comfortable bed and quiet. Highly recommend for any overnight stay and easy access to Gatwick."
