"I’ve stayed at this hotel several times. If you’re looking for a hotel close to the beach without the high cost this is the place. The staff are excellent and make you feel welcomed. They have a great games area for those few rainy days. I stayed with the Mountain View which was a bit noisy in the middle of the night with the garbage trucks emptying bins. The hotel is older so it is a bit run down, but they are always working to keep it up. Again - I love the location and will return to this hotel again."

"Very friendly staff. Hotel is being renovated, but the font desk person gave us a compimentary upgrade away from any nose. The room cleaning people are like guest service ambassadors (Nancy in our case) and she always remembered our name and has a great Aloha Spirit! It is nice to have Duke’s in front, and the Mai Tai bar at the Royal Hawaiian is steps through the sand away next door!, The hotel is situated very well in an upscale section of Waikiki. We would stay there again. "

"The location was interesting to say the least. Very dated, hole in the window and screen in the bathroom, too few outlets, to cable, sattelite or wifi, clock radio did not work. I suppose that seeing the price point, you get what you pay for. Front desk were very pleasant but the place needs some TLC. I am a Facility Manager for 2 golf courses and would make several changes that would elevate their offerings that do not require a ton of capital investment....hmmm...maybe a retirement idea for myself."
