"The hotel is very tired, but the owners are trying to tidy it up and decorate. The facilities in the bedroom were poor, nowhere to hang clothes, curtains don't close tv didn't work. Having said that, it is only rated a 2 star and I will certainly stay again both for the quirkiness and the lovely staff."

"The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet. My second issue was there was no chair or desk in the room. I didn’t care that the tv only had 4 channels- all the other...

"A perfect room for visiting Bath. The room was very large well decorated and very comfortable. The host Richard was a Joy very attentive to any of our needs and full of interesting stories. Breakfast in the dining room was something special complete with a spectacular dumb waiter. We will certainly be back!"

We went for long walks around the fields, ate amazing food in the restaurant at the property, swam in a swimming pool, and enjoyed the area around. Definitely recommend to visit! "Well located (15 minute walk to the baths, and on several bus lines). Nice property, excellent breakfast. Our only issue was that our room (top floor) had a sloping ceiling that you have to be careful of to avoid bumping your head and which effectively reduces the useful space in the room."
