"The hotel was clean and updated. The front desk staff were not friendly, or at least one of them wasn’t. For a nice hotel, they should be more welcoming. The area is beautiful but you do need to walk at least 15 min to get to restaurants, so if the weather is bad you’d need to have a car or Uber."

"We were a bit concerned with the hotel near the train tracks but it was actually quieter than some along main streets. The hotel provides ear plugs in each room although we never needed them. Location is convenient to downtown and riverfront park. Staff was courteous. "

When I checked in and explicitly told the front desk agent that I do not drink alcohol for religious reasons and would not accept the charge, he looked me in the eye and told me it was policy.
