"This was a charming lodge! On the quieter part of downtown Gatlinburg, we appreciated getting out of the hustle and bustle. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and we enjoyed the experience of seeing a bear meander through the stream behind the lodge (happily viewing from the 3rd floor) from our little balcony. Check-in and check-out simple and straightforward, it was the perfect ending to our trip through the mountains."

"The location is hard to beat. There was a definite mold issue in our room with mold on the ceiling of the bathroom which had no exhaust fan. I ended up wiping it all down myself and making sure the door stayed open so it wouldn’t get as much condensation. The rooms are good sized. The pool was fine, smaller than I expected but it was fine. The rooms desperately need a facelift to include fans in bathrooms. The complementary breakfast was okay. "This place would be a 5 star review if they didn’t charge you $17 to park at the hotel you already paid for. Reason given was “everyone else in town does it too.”Granted it is Gatlinburg, TN, so everyone is trying to get all the money they can from you at every opportunity, but the hotel shouldn’t have add ons like this. "Just be aware of hidden fees that were not explained when I booked the reservation on Expedia. Breakfast is not free. It is 12.95 per day and there is a $15 per day for parking. The majority of the staff was very friendly, but I did have a run with someone who was working the breakfast area and he was very rude and overdramatic.
