"Hotel 1550 appeared to be rated 3-Star. From that and some of the positive reviews online we expected a certain standard. After the initial positive check-in at the front desk the passage to the room was like entering a time warp back to the ‘80s or ‘90s, the stand of vending machines in lieu of any sort of restaurant facility, goods type snail paced elevator up to a stuffy airless room offering barely space for two Queen size beds let alone up to four adults and their luggage. Antiquated noisy...

"Nice rooms. Comfortable. Hot tub was out of order the entire stay. Super close to the airport. Easy for Ubber drivers to find. Restaurant food was good. You can also walk to Max's down the street which was yummy! Speedy frequent shuttle bus to airport driven by super great drivers. Best part of this hotel... The STAFF. So nice and helpful! I can not say enough about how great the staff there is."

"Excellent location…4min walk to bart station that takes u straight to Embarcadero it takes 34mins. Parking is free which is huge plus. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Continental breakfast is available on site for a price."
