"The property is a bit odd. There were rooms on our floor that made it feel like a halfway house. Unlocked and they looked like people were living like hoarders in the hotel. "I loved the location in the UWS.
The room was clean and adequate for one person.
I was not informed about the "facility fee", which was more than $200 for the week in addition to the room fee. It was a surprise at check out. I was charged for things I didn't use: a walking tour which I didn't know about, and bottles of water in the room which I didn't use. Those should be optional and guests should be informed beforehand.

"When we arrived to check in, the valet was nowhere in site. I had to double park, unload and hunt down the valet who was inside the hotel serving double duty as the bellman. He was very friendly, but it was frustrating that the valet was not outside. "The Regency is Mei Hom away from home. What can I say? It is probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in the world. I never go wrong when I’m at the Regency. The staff knows you on a first name basis your room is ready. Your favorite cocktail is probably waiting for you at the bar at breakfast. They know what you’re having for breakfast.
