We had an excellent stay at Charming House DD724. The hotel is very conveniently located, well-kept, extremely clean, and the staff was wonderful—very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was a very good size, especially for a hotel in Europe, and the bathroom was spacious and comfortable as well. The accommodations overall were excellent. One of the highlights was breakfast. Everything was fresh and prepared for you while you waited, and the cook was such a nice person. It was a great way to start each morning. It is important to know that this is a very small boutique hotel, so you won’t find a traditional hotel lobby, restaurant, or many of the common areas you would expect at a larger property. It feels a little more like a high-end Airbnb or private guesthouse experience, but with the service and attention of a hotel. Overall, we had a great experience. The location is very convenient to public transportation and getting around Venice, the property was clean and comfortable, and most importantly, the people were fantastic. We would definitely recommend Charming House DD724 to anyone looking for a smaller, more personal place to stay in Venice.

Not Just A Number

A really excellent stay. The property was maintained to a high standard and we met the owner who takes a keen interest in how things are going, who you are etc - a lovely cultured lady and a real point of difference from the one size fits all big hotel. Ideally located in central Venice but quiet too, we’d heartily recommend this property and will return again soon hopefully.

Memorable accommodation with excellent breakfast

It was an interesting place with very modern nice design but the check in area was very tiny ( no more than 2 persons with luggage can be there at once ) but understandably that is a very old home retrofit as a hotel accommodation . The manager Sylvia was super accommodating. The hot water was not working properly during our stay but she gave us another suit in a different location that was even better than our original room. Transportation from the airport was very challenging . The taxi driver dropped us off 25-30 min walk from the hotel. We had to walk almost 30 min to the hotel which was more inland but close to restaurants and museum.

The staff were absolutely amazing, and the room was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owner even took the time to introduce herself and genuinely made an effort to get to know us, which made the stay feel so welcoming and personal. Breakfast was also absolutely perfect! We would 100% recommend staying here — such a lovely place and a wonderful experience 😊 Thank you again!

Fantastic property. Can easily walk to all parts of Venice. Located right next to the beautiful Peggy Guggenheim museum. Rooms are clean and the staff treats you like family. The breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommend, especially if you want to be close to sites but away from the swarms of tourists.

We had a 3 night break in Venice, and after looking at many hotels we settled on Charming House. We definitely made the right choice! Before we even arrived, Alice was super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed arranged, even double checking a couple of days before to make sure our airport transfer was confirmed in case they needed to help us arrange one. We arrived a little before check in, and we were immediately shown to our room - again by Alice. She was absolutely wonderful and all the staff at the hotel looked after us really well. The location is fantastic, Dorsoduro is quiet and relaxed but not far from San Marco over the Accademia bridge, so you can see everything you want but get away from the crowds later. There's many local places to eat and drink around as well. The room was spotlessly clean, modern and stylish but complemented the original features like the terrazzo floor and wooden beams in the ceiling above. Breakfast was lovely, even with pre-ordering food we were offered to try more if we wanted, and constantly looked after. You won't leave breakfast hungry!

Service is fantastically friendly. Being a small boutique hotel with only a few rooms, service is very personal and rooms are quiet. The only ‘modern’ hotel in Venice. The first time I stayed here was around 15 years ago and the paintwork and finishes are a bit chipped here and there now but I’d recommend to anyone again without hesitation.

Very disappointed by the stay. I booked Charming House DD724 for my colleagues (business trip) a couple of times and it went well. This time, we were moved from DD724 to their IQS suites due to refurbishment at DD724. Not an issue until my colleagues arrived and had to cancel their first meeting to collect the keys (this was not indicated when I confirmed the booking, no mention on reception being unavailable during the day). The rooms were dirty. Free croissants were offered in the morning, which is a nice touch. However they were being served by a member of staff who entered in the room at 9am. I have never expected a member of staff opening the door while the guest is still in! As said, very disappointing experience. I will no longer book Charming House.
