"The Foghorn Harbor Inn is an excellent value. It's not fancy, but it has all the things we look for in a reasonably priced motel: it's clean, it has in-room refrigerators and microwaves, the bed is large and comfortable, the staff is welcoming and responsive, there is 24-hour coffee and small snacks. Also, it's quite well situated. We had a meeting in Marina del Rey, but also visited Beverly Hills (about half an hour) and downtown LA (about 35 minutes), depending on the time of day, of course."

"Housekeeper knocked on my door and within 5 seconds of knocking, entered my room. I was on my way to open the door and see who was there.. when you knock, you should give the guest a moment to respond before entering. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable for the remainder of my stay. Rooms have a weird smell, however did appear clean. Bedding was uncomfortable, a fleece blanket is a questionable choice for a hotel in Los Angeles… Overall, it was a cheap stay so worth the price. I personally would not stay again, as I felt unsafe and mislead by recent reviews saying the place was updated. It is not. It is very much a cheap motel and that’s what you will pay for and get."

"The bartenders were all fantastic. The carpet in our room was torn and needs mending. Beware, the valet and overnight parking is $52.00 a night. Across the street is $6.00. Overall we had a nice stay and will go back."

"Staff and spirit of hospitality are in constant supply at Centric. Emerson's service for our birthday party made it perfect. He was patient and anticipated each guest's desires. He helped me feel like I was a great hostess! Manager looked for ways to help us feel at home. Location is convenient and rooms have great orientations towards the ocean and city - not far from beach - far enough to enjoy utterly quiet sleep hours. Nice facilities. Bar and food offerings are well prepared. Good for pleasure and working visits for me."
