"We arrived quite early and were greeted by friendly staff who did offer us the option of an early check in, as the room was ready, but for an additional fee. (If the room is already made up, this could have been waived). We passed on that and they were happy to look after our bags while we explored the harbour area. The room was good and the breakfast choice was excellent. Happy hour at the bar was also really good, with friendly and attentive staff. All round, an excellent hotel and location,...

"The property was exactly as advertised and our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. The location was great with it being easy to walk to any of the big tourists spots and there was parking. We reached out to the owners several times and they were amazing! The only item of not is the property is on a Main Street in a city across from a bus stop so there is some road noise but that is to be expected."

"Clean, great for family of 3 and convenient location. Street parking is available and we lucked out and didn’t find any issue finding parking spaces. Walking distance to shops, the church, and food areas."

"Overall this was advertised as a ‘luxury’ property and priced as such. It is not. The hotel does not have a bar, a proper restaurant and the breakfast buffet was the poorest stocked we have seen in Iceland (including several outside Reyjavik). The spa area was unappealing. The room was overheated due to a overheated bathroom floor; with no temperature control gauge. The overall feel is that of a formerly grand hotel overtaken by time with a badly used furniture feel. I will never recommend it."

"An interesting historic building with a multi-story central atrium. Well maintained with an excellent location. Great dining room & excellent breakfast offerings. Helpful front desk and breakfast as well as extremely courteous cleaning staff. Well located in the Old Town to access the waterfront, harbour, museums and restaurants. All and all an excellent choice for a stay in Reykjavik!"

"The location was walkable to everything. The apartment was spacious and clean. The check-in was good, but the place to enter a code was not obvious to me because I was looking for a keypad and it only appears once you first touch the unit. That should be added to the instructions."

"Loved the location, the building was very clean inside and out. Lacking basic room amenities. No TV, radio, or anything anywhere in the building. Power outlets in weird locations. Wasn’t pleased that we couldn’t even enter the building until check in time, that definitely needs to be looked at for future customers with luggage. "

"Good value, clean warm room in the heart of Reykjavík. Check in was painless and we managed to get an early check in. It is not fancy but it does meet your needs. The big positive for this property is location, very near all the main areas for restaurants and bars but tucked out the way to be quiet. I would come back here if we come to Reykjavík again. "
