"Situated near the station and at the top of the main drag, this hotel is in dire need of some tlc. They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. The sink does not have a mixer tap, and the hot water is scalding, while there is almost no water pressure for the shower. "Could use more usb ports in the room and a small refrigerator in the room would help. We think face cloths would be a nice addition"

"Check-in was quick and simple. Clean and spacious room with a good walk-in shower. However, the TV kept losing its signal which was rather annoying. Breakfast is a hot and cold self-serve buffet. The evening menu has a good variety of choices. On-site parking is limited and was full by about 16:00 on the two nights we stayed."

"Room was clean, although I was put into a room in an annex that didn't look like the one in the photo. Some of the staff were very nice, but one was not friendly or accommodating, at all. "Hotel ideally situated just off the A12. But there is no road noise that disturbed our sleep. Room was nice and clean well stocked with tea and coffee, soap, shampoo, hairdryer and iron. "Large clean room with king size bed and seating area with TV, tea making facilities with fridge and large en suite. The room overlooks farmland. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked and the hosts were full of interesting information about the surrounding area."
