"First room we were allocated was disgustingly filthy, muld on bathroom wall and floor, peeling ceramic coating on sink ,no sink plug. Carpet stained and bedsheets dis not look to have been changed . On speaking to reception, we were given an alternative room, which was only marginally better Toilet was cracked and coming away from the wall . You can no longer book the complimentary shuttle, it's first come, first served, which results in a chaotic process and long waits Would we stay again? Never in a million years!"

"I've stayed at the Hilton, Garden Inn, many many times and its always been wonderful, the room, staff etc. Unfortunately the last time was terrible. I was put in room 125, next to the gym.There was dust in the room, the kettle was encrusted with no idea what. The shower didn’t drain properly. The beds creaked, loudly, everytime I moved! The noise from the gym at 7am was annoying. When I checked out the woman on reception asked how my stay was, I explained. She didn’t even apologise, just looked at me like she had a bad smell under her nose. I asked for an email address to complain, she just gave me the front desk email. I will be contacting IHG directly due to the whole experience!!"

"Business trip, stay here when visit in Sale, food excellent, room clean, it only got good as felt the mattress i slept on maybe needing a refresh. Otherwise good place"

"The staff were amazing and bed was comfortable sadly that’s there the positives stop The bathroom was the biggest problem, a hole in the door, mould on the bath, rust on the shower, cracked tiles and broken bath signs I was told the room was the furthest away from the bar but could still hear loud music until midnight Great staff just the bathroom needs to be refurbished and cleaned"

"Check in was effortless and the staff were attentive throughout my stay. Breakfast was of average quality, but there was a nice variety of options to suit everyone. The bedroom was clean with fresh sheets; however, the stained carpet was off‑putting. You would expect an IHG‑owned hotel to invest in proper industrial carpet cleaning. The location is convenient, within walking distance of the tram stop and the Trafford Centre. Parking was only £5 per night, which I think is very good value"

"On arrival good first impression, receptionist was lovely and helpful information in the reception area. However, this hotel needs some major TLC, a lick of paint and some air freshener! We stayed in the adjoining building but the corridors are grubby, really outdated and smelt awful of what I can only match to BO smells and then our room smelt of cigarettes, again very grubby walls/carpet, outdated and just not inviting at all. It's not even about being modern, the carpet is lifting all around the edges and at the joins, the curtains are grubby and musty, walls are grubby and in dier need of a lick of paint. There were mould spots around the seal of the bath, the shower didn't work at all and was poorly fitted, and the bath taps were not secure. We couldn't have a morning shower at 7am and there was no staff around to ask for help. We needed somewhere to stay night before marathon and it did the job for that but never again, it was also disappointing that the hotel was full of marathon runners yet there was no staff available early morning and no breakfast available until 8am which was too late for some of us running earlier. It has the potential to be a beautiful place but is really let down currently."

"Arrived late at night and had trouble finding a car park space. Access around the building is one way but to exit you have to go through a locked gate and you need a code - as a guest who has just arrived you don't have this info. I called the hotel 3 times whilst stuck at the gate and no one answered. Luckily a guest walked past and gave me the code. Went around again but this time went in the multistorey up a level. Be warned this car park is VERY TIGHT and not all cars are parked well. When checking in there were 4 staff members so I was pretty annoyed that not one of them answered the phone whilst I was outside. Got a room on the 4th floor. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp white. The room is basic but I was only going to be there for 8 hours. It had a ripped leather chair and just didn't feel as clean as it should have been. Bathroom had hairs around and more attention needs to be in the corners. If you are a light sleeper take ear plugs as it is next to a main road and near my room was an external extractor fan of some nature. Not my first choice of hotel in the area but my other usuals were booked up. It is cheap and would suit the budget traveller. A bit more attention from housekeeping and this place would get better reviews. Didn't have breakfast or use the bar area but there looked to be plenty of seating and nice big TVs. Parking was free for the night which was a plus. "
