"Lovely room, with large bed. We have stayed in this hotel lots of times before but we have never had as nice of bed as we had this time. It was a lovely surprise. Breakfast great as usual."

"Lovely location with Wooky Holes on the doorstep of the Hotel. Room was basic but clean and had everything you'd want fir an overnight stay. Lovely grounds for a walk. Only negative was bath taps had hot water, but the shower had only had cold water. The mixer thermostat was obviously faulty. Talking to other guests, this seemed to be a common fault as others said their shower only had cold water too."

"A excellent stay prior to a flight from Bristol Airport. Restaurant was excellent with a good selection of food and drinks. The staff made you feel welcome. Car parking was great and only 15-20 minutes from the airport. Will definitely stay again."

The staff provided a room fan when we requested, but unfortunately the 2nd floor was an oven. This is no fault of the staff or property, it was just an anomaly of the weather."

It is an historic 3-star Georgian hotel, built in early 19th century, so no double-glazing and air-con here! However do not stay here now, if you want a guaranteed sleep! "The hotel is in a great location for Cardiff Bay. Unfortunately, I stayed on the hottest days of the year. The room I was allocated on the ground floor did not have any windows that opened, and there seemed to be an aircon/heating unit that wasn’t working; fans were already in the room but didn’t help with the blistering heat and lack of ventilation.
