"The rooms are like student dormitories. The beds are worn out, the walls have marks, and the washrooms are ok. Breakfast was good."

"The breakfast times could have been later, as finished at 9am on Monday. The bar was supposed to close at 11pm but was closed by 10.15pm. The rooms were basic and shower not powerful. However, were clean and still had everything that was needed. Lots of choice of food and drink and fresh."

"Late check in was handy, I arrived about 11pm as was the bar staying open until 2 am!! Air con was v.noisy so was left with choice of being boiling (with AC off), not being able to sleep because of noise, or opening the windows and listening to M5. I choose the second option."

"We had a really lovely stay at Chesford Grange. The hotel itself has a peaceful atmosphere, and our room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable and it was a great place to relax. "Checked in for 1.30pm, was told it is £10 per hour before 3pm check in - there was no discretion on the 30 mins as the receptionist pursued the £5 for 30 mins so I paid the £15. Checked in to a room with scaffolders outside my window swearing and talking about women with loud music. I headed to reception (bare in mind it is now 1.45 as my room was so far away and there is NO telephone in the rooms). Moved to another room, TV was not working and the there was NO wifi signal. "A very cosy & modern hotel in a quiet & secure location with the loveliest yet professional staff. Spent a night during the work trip, was a perfect place to unwind despite being on the warmest day of the year! Food from the Bistro was very good & the breakfast was Excellent with a wide range of quality choices. Highly recommend for work trip as well as short getaway. Will definitely visit for latter next time!"

"Does what it says on the can. Great place for breaking up a long journey. However beware there is NO air conditioning, although a fan was provided there were no electrical sockets anywhere near the bed."

"It’s dated and needs some tlc - sadly things like layout don’t help, but things like light sensors only lighting after you reach different bits of the corridor just felt cheap and a poor experience. On arrival there were bugs on the window, had clearly not been used/cleaned for a while"

"Stayed in the mews which was a side annex. Great good sized room along with good sized bathroom with powerful shower over a bath. Clean crisp bedding. Attentive staff Great stay"
