Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay, HI

"I really liked our cottage. It was separate from the main hotel and it kind of felt like our own little or space away from everything else and it had its own little patio and a big grassy field behind. It was perfect for our family. My kids are older if we had younger kids it would probably be even better of a situation, but the kids are older and so we had a pullout sofa for them and our own private bedroom and bathroom was separate from the bedroom, which was nice because then, if the parents were in the room, the door could be closed and kids could still access the bathroom, which is different than most hotel rooms and it did have a kitchenette, but in the photos it was like a more well stocked kitchen with cups and it appeared to be like more with silverware and like kind of prepped for actual usage whereas when we got there, the shelves were empty and Bear and there were just the coffee maker in the fridge and a microwave and a sink so it would’ve been nice to have some utensils or even just like a way to cook like a hot plate sort of situation would be nice because we couldn’t cook a lot of the things that we wanted or like a knife to cut up the fruit kind of thing which the pictures did make it look like it was more of a kitchenette and less of just a hotel room fridge, mini bar situation. Parking was easy. The parking was right outside of the front door, so it’s easy to load and unload baggage. The air-conditioning units did seem to have some wear and tear it seemed"

"The staff were absolutely wonderful. We came on 10/1 so after the hurricane so the beach was closed but everything else was delightful"

"The Sheraton was our go-to when we evacuated Poipu due to hurricane Lowell. They were very accommodating providing food, water, etc even when no power was available in our room. Can’t say enough about how sweet the staff was during our stay, even though they were extremely shorthanded."
