The suite is very clean, comfortable (very good beds and 2 bathrooms) and has all amenities for a wonderful getaway (kitchenette, board games, lots of tips for walks, etc). Tim is a very kind host and provides all information needed. A perfect stay!"

Fairhaven Hotel

8/10 Good

"An unfortunate start to our stay in a very mediocre "standard" double room. The TV did not work, despite a staff member trying to sort it-& was left to the next day as already early evening. This room was "tired" and small. The hotel is an old Victorian hotel, sprawling with work being done. (There was scaffold to be seen from the window & some "works" noise heard during working hours, but faint.) The lift was old, but worked fine and lighting worked on a sensor... not always quite light & the passage was often dim as no daylight. The communal carpets were old and visible dust accumulation along the edges and at corners to doorways. We asked if the TV was noted for fixing at reception the next morning, and this was confirmed. We sat in the dining room and waited for breakfast as I was told by a staff member that I did not need to book just come down and "we will sort you". A sparse continental breakfast buffet was on display and I helped myself to an apple and yoghurt. (I was pleased there was plain greek yoghurt- but the bowl was enough for one generous helping... maybe 2! There was 1 banana and some apples, red and green, pastry, bread and cereal. (None which we eat due to being diabetic.) We didn't wait to have the cooked choice. The coffee was good. On checking at midday about the TV, it was not fixed and we were upgraded to a seafront room. Large &great view, apart from the trek... which included a few short staircases. Asda on JustPark has cheap parking if you can walk"

"I stayed here when in Weymouth for my brother's funeral. The staff (bar and reception) can't think of your names but I'm sure you will know who you are if you read this, we're so kind and caring and nothing was too much trouble. Did find a random sock in my room but hey ho lol. I didn't have an evening meal but what I saw looked dam delicious. Breakfast, everything you could ask for just a shame I didn't have a big enough appetite. Thanks for looking after me ❤️"

"From start to finish Hyacinth was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble for her a real people person. The breakfast was also a real highlight cooked by Danny.The whole property was immaculately clean with great facilities including the shower which can be a problem in an old building but not this one. Highly recommended and will be staying here again, a real 5 Star experience."

"We stayed at this b and b for three nights. Parking was off the street so we didn’t need to use the car as the beach and shops were nearby. Our room was clean and tidy and our hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. The breakfast was scrumptious. We will be going back again next year."

"Thoroughly recommend the Calm Sea Guesthouse as a place to stay. Mel and Trish were wonderful hosts and made every effort to make our stay as special as possible, even when we arrived Trish came with us to show us the nearest car park where we were able to park for free. Room was clean, very nice welcome treats on the bed on our arrival. Beds were very comfortable, although we didn’t sleep very well, this was only the fault of the usually high temperatures at the time of our visit. Breakfast selection was great and the food was cooked well and very tasty!"
