"Lovely grounds and dining area. Corridors in our accommodation block were somewhat shabby and in need of updating. Paint was peeling on the bathroom door. Double bed was standard rather than king. Room amenities were fine, suited our needs. Breakfast was more than adequate although there was a delay in replacing some hot food. Very convenient location."

"Beautiful setting with a upmarket vibe around the complex. Entrance lobby and reception very smart. Staff were helpful. We decided on the cheaper windowless room knowing there was a skylight with natural light. But skylight blind was broken . Room was not cleaned or replenished over the two day stay. Leisure facilities were very good but at £10 per visit per person remember to bare this in mind in price comparisons. Food was reasonable but quite pricey for what it was. All said I would return...

"Hotel is easy to find and has plenty of parking. Rooms were fine, with enough space and necessary facilities. We needed three rooms, and staff had arranged that they were three adjacent rooms, which was good. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very accommodating - we needed some breakfasts to take away for some of our party who were out running during breakfast service. "A good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast buffet good. Crazy practice of charging hotel guests to park but that seems to be a growing trend. Be honest and include the charge in the hotel costs instead of hiding additional costs."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"Terrible hotel. Would avoid! Rang me on the day of check-in to say that the hotel was overbooked. I was then told that, as compensation for THEIR error, they would put me in a 'sister' hotel, which in fact looked like a 1970s pub and was not at all a like-for-like swap. Very unhelpful staff; offered absolutely no assistance in resolving any discrepancies, and had to escalate to Expedia to get anywhere."

"Rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We didn’t use the spa due to only staying one night and the extra charge as booked through Expedia but if book direct, it’s included. Breakfast was £16.95 and worth it. Great choice. Lovely outdoor seating area. Beds comfy. Bathrooms good. Quiet location. All was good."

"Do not even think about booking this accommodation. It’s not habitable. The photos are true to likeness. I have reported this host to the company. It would not pass any regulatory standards. Needs to be removed! Awaiting my refund, as walked in and walked straight back at !!"
