"A relaxing feel runs through the hotel and out into the gardens. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. Herons love it too! The staff were smiley and attentive, Our room was clean and the towels soft and fluffy. We made use of the spa facilities every day. The pool temperature was great for us."

"Short walk from Portsmouth Harbour & Gunwharf Quays. Single bedroom (No/32) was cosy & bijou, with side view of harbour. Furniture needs a little refresh/repaint but was pretty. Bathroom was modern & large, and so was shower. Breakfast was served at ground floor near reception, which made it friendly & personal, and it was a lovely situation. Plenty of selection. A pleasant stay."

"Booked "dog-friendly room" (it's handy to have that description in the room information when booking as otherwise I'd ring the hotel before booking to check if dogs are ok in room we're booking, so thanks for that). Note that £30pn is charged on top of room rate for a dog. It was a premium room, so had a lounge area with tv (Disney etc) & separate bedroom area. All very clean and comfy. Keiran was very welcoming on reception and offered to book us in for breakfast. We arrived late and no food...

"The room was immaculate upon our arrival and the breakfast was a typical normal continental breakfast. The view was exceptional and the location for our cruise terminal was superb. All in all - it was a wonderful place to stay. I only wish we could have stayed longer or arrived earlier to investigate the area."

"The room was nice, the bathroom was tiny, but clean. Barely enough room for once person. Good tea and coffee facilities. The room was not good value due to the inflated price as it was a Take That concert, but overall it was a nice hotel. It was an easy 30 minutes walk to the St. Mary’s Stadium for the concert. The carpark at the hotel was good, £20 for 24 hours, which was ok."

"Situated right next to a huge shopping mall and 5 minutes drive from cruise port. No fridge in room and no phone if you had questions for the main desk. Breakfast buffet was adequate, excellent coffee machine!"

"Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and lovely to speak to throughout our short stay. The hotel is immaculately kept and tastefully furnished. Our room was spacious (family room with a queen bed and bunk beds for our 2 children was a dream for them) and had great amenities. Bathroom was clean and basic toiletries were supplied along with shaving and dental kits. Enjoyed our short stay and would highly recommned."

"Room was clean and tidy, bathroom was spacious (in previous occasions I've been assigned smaller bathrooms in which it was difficult to get in/out of the bath). Very quiet room even though it's next to the main road. I'd like it more if they provided the usual hotel amenities in the room (e.g. a bath cap). Breakfast is quite nice, a continental and full English buffet. Overall, I like the place."
