"The decor at this hotel is quite nice and attractive, but it lacks amenities; the rooms have no TV and no Wi-Fi. This is particularly inconvenient given that mobile data coverage within the scenic area is extremely poor."
"Our family stayed at three different hotels within Yellowstone NP in May 2026. Of the three, Canyon Lodge was the nicest in terms of room quality and food options. The rooms were new and clean. We were able to walk to their dining facilities which offered great, casual options at a decent price. It was a great place to stay while exploring the Hayden Valley, Yellowstone Lake and The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone areas. It also has good access to the Lamar Valley when the connecting road is open (late May). It is far from the Old Faithful area, but we were much happier leaving the congestion of that area behind to go to Canyon Lodge."
"This was the perfect place to stay while exploring the northern part of Yellowstone NP. We stayed in the Osprey Suite, which was a great size for a family of four. The full-size kitchen had ample pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. We could see the river and Roosevelt Arch from our deck. We could walk to the grocery store and restaurants. The staff was very accommodating, and we had an assigned parking space. We stayed in 7 different places during the course of our trip, and this one was by far our favorite."
"We stayed at multiple Super 8 facilities on this road trip and this was left something to be desired. It was okay but not really good. They have NO ELEVATOR!!! so I had to request a different room to get on the first floor due to mobility issues. Upon returning home, I discovered they charged me $9 more to get the room. So they technically upgraded me to a King from 2 Queens to get me on the first floor and then charge me the upgrade. I didn't care about the bigger bed, it was a mobility issue. So a little discrimination is felt. The room was good for a wheelchair but the toilet height was not. The hotel had no breakfast, you had to use the attached restaurant and get a discount. I would look for other accommodations."
"It was a cute decor appropriate for the area. We couldn’t get the tv to work but we did have our internet. The location was great being close to town and Yellowstone."
"Clean room. Lovely people running the motel. Parking may get tight if you arrive super late, but there are other options. Stone's throw away from the YNP sign."

"The queen suite was huge and had a full kitchen with dishes and pots and pans and had a living area. The room was simple but clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay!"
