"We had an enjoyable overnight stay at the Minster Hotel. We'd been given a room upgrade and it was lovely and clean and spacious. Everything you needed with tea and coffee and biscuits supplied. Bathroom was spotless. The bed was so comfortable and had one of the best sleeps ever. Staff very welcoming , polite friendly and extremely helpful. "Check in was a very pleasant experience. We took advantage of the luggage check and on return to the hotel for check in our bags had been delivered to our room. We were even showed to our room, a nice touch. Room was very clean and the bed comfortable. A million dollar view from our room across a quiet street. Would definitely stay again."

"A very nice little flat 10 minutes walk away from the city centre. Lovely thick carpets. The main bedroom is very nice indeed. Comfortable bed. Effective fan provided which was a godsend during hot weather. Kids bedroom was nice too and they loved the bunk bed set up, which was solid. "We have stayed at Ascot House four times now and it has been u over sally excellent. Immaculately clean, quiet and very comfortable. Perfect for a stay in York. Good breakfast, reasonable parking. Actually good parking but this may depend on how full the hotel is but can park in street outside if needed. Pleasant staff, unobtrusive but helpful.
