I couldn’t get the oven to work, my pizza from the market didn’t fit in the compact fridge, and the microwave had Roman numerals on the dials for settings but I didn’t know that the settings meant. I had to just set the timer and hope for the best. Communication with the property manager was also causing me anxiety. I was supposed to receive the check in info 24 hours before my arrival but it never arrived. The day of my trip, I called the number I was sent, left them text messages and sent messages via the hotels.com app. No response. I contacted hotels.com customer service and they were unable to reach the property manager as well. I arrived to Joshua tree thinking I was going to have to book a hotel room when I finally received a message with check in info 3.5 hours before my check in time! "
