"My three adult daughters and I stayed at the retreat for 2 nights and had a nice time. The breakfast was absolutely the highlight of our stay! The food was high quality and there seemed to be a bit of everything of everyone. The staff were lovely and helpful, always answering our questions and trying to help in any way that they could. We were a bit disappointed with our room. It seemed a bit tired and cramped for the price we paid. There were no drawers or cupboards to put our clothes in, so...

"A dream stay! It is the most authentic Japanese experience we could’ve ever imagined. Absolutely breathtaking room (we got the room with the private hot spring and garden) and just wow. It was our last hotel before we traveled back home and we really are grateful it was! They provide excellent service and the amenities and cleanliness is top notch. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Worth the money."

"i wish i could live here. the staff was so sweet, they helped bring me into my room, brought my luggage, and sat me down for check in. i love the free waterbottle they gave, i loved the free drink bar with so much different teas, and i loved the breakfast. their food is so good, their onsen is great, and the parking is free too. the hotel is on a hill so you must get food from the nearby 7-11, sushi resturant, or box burger. i want to stay at this place a again. my daughter and i loved it!"

"Clean and spacious room. The beds on the floor were not very comfortable, especially the pillows. Staff was very helpful in making arrangements when possible although they did not seem to know much about the Five Lakes area. Overall if you are interested in Hakone/Gora this is a great property. "
