Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred. "We have eaten at this hotel many times, however, the first time staying over I should have done it sooner. Wonderful hotel and the staff were all extremely attentive."

"This was a lovely hotel in an old mill. Breakfast was included and good with a simple buffet style in the lovely dining room. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Parking was good and easy at a cost. The spa was free but unfortunately we didn’t have our swimmers with us. Great location with easy walking distance to the city and restaurants."

"The staff were friendly but very green, during an evening meal and breakfast we had to ask several times for things like water, coffee and toast and some of these things didn't arrive at all. They are pleasant but need more training on staying on top of orders and clearing the tables. Breakfast is strange with you being charged £17 to have access to the continental and light breakfast menu, and then you having to pay an extra £5 for more premium items like a full English. Why not just say it...

"Where do I start we got to the hotel on the first night go to the room to find there was no bedding for the kids we got charged for breakfast the next day for the kids the staff are useless the pool was closed by 7pm even tho is stated it was open till 9pm all the carpets in the hall way were taped down or ripped up the place is a joke for the price we paid"

"Stayed for one night, with my son, for a Mazda MX5 car meet up in the car park- the reason for our stay. The hotel is very nice. We had a meal in the Savvy Fox - i like the decor. The meal was very nice - but not cheap. The twin room was very basic, but was clean and adequate for a one night stay. The beds were very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. "Room was small with no airflow BUT what made our stay was the exceptional staff in the pub. They were so very caring, friendly and addressed my daughter’s multiple allergies with ease. It was very rare experience that way. Would visit again"
