"A great location to stay for visiting Eton and Windsor. Just a short walk across the river to Windsor was ideal. The staff were very friendly upon arrival and during the stay. The breakfast was very nice and good choice of hot and cold food. The room was very quiet and could not hear any noise from the pub. Car parking was free and accessible throughout the stay which was good."

"Wonderful stay for the summer with river views and amazing terrace. So many peaceful places to sit and watch the river in the grounds. The rooms were lovely - spacious, big bed and bathrooms and the extra amenities were very appreciated. Its a stunning setting for a summer break."

Unfortunately the rooms are very dated, and the Club upgrade we paid for didn't feel very luxurious with lots of stains on the furniture, tile chips in the bathroom, a leaking bath, and felt like it hadn't been updated in about 30 years :("

"Property was tired and the air conditioning was poor so the room was too hot to sleep properly"

"Hotel was tired, dated and needed a definite facelift! Our room overlooked the back of restaurants and the wind was literally howling through our room! The shower was very lacklustre with no real power. Our room also on the slope! On the plus side the staff were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. They were a credit to the hotel. Would I stay here again? Sadly no."

"2 day stay . Very bad smelling room even after 2 days with window open. Its clearly been lived in by a smoker and a sock was still covering the smoke detector. Really uncumfortabke beds and dirty stained sheets and matress. No lamps no cups, spoon or coffee. Even had to tune the telly myself. Very strange types walking around the corridors would not recomend. Staff were nice enough when i spoke to them. Im not the complaining type so just loughed if off as a bad experience never to be repeated....

"Last minute booking the down side shared toilet in the hallway I didn't realise when booking otherwise the stay was a success. Shame about the weather being soooo hot the room did get overheated."

"What an amazing find! The perfect place for us as a family to unwind after a busy day of sight seeing. The perfect base surrounded by nature and animals, all of us loved it. We will definately be staying here again and will recommend you to everyone! P.s those basket of goodies and some fridge essentials were SO appreciated after a busy day of travelling. "Staff were welcoming, very friendly and efficient. The hotel was rather dated and looked tired, especially the rooms, although they were clean. The use of a guest lounge with tea, coffee and water was a bonus, although provisions hadn’t been topped up, nor the area tidied when we used it in the evening. More Choice of games would have been nice, too. Given the spectacular and unique location, the grounds appeared very neglected, apart from around the restaurant area. Very expensive for what...

"Only stayed for one night but would recommend. Room was exactly as described and good facilities with the bonus of a fully equipped (but small) kitchen. I think the people who own this property take pride in what they offer."
