"This is a luxury hotel, appropriately so. but keep in mind that there is construction outside preventing sidewalk access. also, they charge $50 for early check-in, which seems wrong for this level of hotel. also, my room had some odd dead spaces in the layout, and a suboptimal bathroom layout. no big deal, but odd. "Loved the classical beauty of the hotel, decor and landscaping. Room and hotel as a whole was very clean. Shower heat/pressure was amazing. Front desk staff was super nice and I liked there being a fancy restaurant and lounge so we had the option of staying in. Only minor issue was having to valet the car causing 10-20 minute delays every time we needed to leave."

"We had an excellent stay. Hotel located in the perfect area - a lot of stores, places to eat, and coffee shops all in less than 5 mins walking distance. Breakfast was great also - a lot of different options. Ruth, front desk agent, is AMAZING! Also, she makes the BEST old fashioned in DC! Overall, great place for leisure or business. I def recommend!
