"Two lifts, on out if order one not working properly. I checked in with a Brompton Bicycle and the check in guy put me on the 7th floor. The lift worked to go up to my room. In the morning I waited for 15 minutes with another guest for the lift which stopped at the lower floors but not the 7th. I had to carry my loaded Brompton bicycle down the stairs. "We had reserved two rooms. One of the rooms had such an awful, musty smell that it hit you as soon as you opened the door. We notified reception and were given a bottle of air freshener. Sprayed half a bottle in the room and went out to dinner. When we came back smell was still there and still as pungent. TV was also not working so we called reception again. Member of staff came up to try and fix the TV and noticed the smell (almost like they had not believed us when raised the first time). We...

"Our stay was ok for what we paid. The room was clean but had no air conditioning, which in the heat wave was a bit uncomfortable. A fridge in the room would have been good. Breakfast was decent and they have a Starbucks onsite which was great. The staff were friendly and overall I would say it was value for money."

"Excellent stay with an extremely friendly check in with a lovely lady called Joy on reception. Room was very spacious and quiet with a modern, clean bathroom and great shower pressure. Very comfortable bed. Plenty of free parking, nice restaurants and bars nearby as well as shopping. Will definitely stay here again when flying from Birmingham Airport."
