"The room was clean and the staff was great. There was no continental breakfast offered. You have to pay $30.00 plus tax for the privilege of parking onsite and a $10.00 facility fee and a tax on the facility fee. We did not use any of the facilities like the pool or fitness room. We felt that the total cost of the room ect. was higher than warranted for what you get. I guess it's because you are staying in Carmel."

"Positives: great location, convenient parking
Cons: there is a very obvious musty smell throughout the entire hotel (worse on the historic side) including the rooms; fitness area is incredibly small with very poor equipment"

"In one of the rooms, there was a terrible stink emanating from the sink next to the coffee-maker. I brought it to the attention of the front desk. Fortunately my sense of smell is not good but my family complained about it.
Weather was cool in Monterey but even when we raised the temperature on the thermostat it was blowing cold air. The room was supposed to be an accessible room for seniors. Not healthy for seniors in that room."

"The room was clean your standard room nothing special had all your basic needs (Fridge, small desk, two chairs, shower). Bedroom was clean and organized. Parking was first come first serve on both sides of the building. Check out was easy just drop off your key card in the box and leave."
