"Very upset. I called the day of and added a day to my stay and told them i would be arriving at 130 am, the gentleman said ok and that he would be there. We showed up and it was closed. Noone answered the phone or door. I had already paid for our stay ahead of time. So now thank goodness i found another hotel open and just paid again to stay there so we didnt have to sleep in our car. So very upset with this place. Hopefully i will get my money back since it was no fault of my own."

"This property was in a great location. Clean and spacious rooms.I found the online check-in convenient, but also very impersonal. When they charged my credit card without authorization for parking, I called immediately. They reverse the charges, but I was not pleased with the transaction."

"Near the lighthouse, golf course and the ocean. From our balcony on the second floor we could see the ocean. Pacific Grove downtown is nearby and nice with several restaurants featuring live music on Saturday night. It’s a great location to get away from the busier areas of the Monterey area. Although the hotel is an older property it’s within walking distance of the ocean, golf course and lighthouse and a short drive to the charming downtown area. "

"Room was extremely small. We have stayed there before and had a wonderful space. Bathroom door had to be pulled shut with two people. I asked for a microwave one staff member said it would be in our room when we returned but it wasn’t. I called and asked for it again and was told they don’t do that. So which is it? I spent over $1,000 for a two night stay and my accommodations should have been much better than it was. Extremely disappointed! "

"I stayed here for my 5 year anniversary and paid extra to book the jacuzzi room to surprise my partner, but the jacuzzi unfortunately did not work"

"From the moment we drove up, we loved the style of the hotel, the location and the amenities it has to offer. Staff were very helpful, rooms clean and updated. Loved that the hotel was dog friendly, yet didn't see dogs all over if that's a turn off. Located near a really cute center called the Barnyard where you can literally walk across for dinner/coffee/shopping. 5 minutes to beach. Great spot you won't regret staying here."

"Perfect location to be on Cannery Row, by the ocean and walking distance to the Aquarium"

"The first night Carmel was having a heat wave and the room was extremely hot. No AC in the room and only one of the wondows open. I know this is a rare situation but it would have been nice if they had fans in the rooms for days like this. Wouldn't be much of a cost for the Inn and definitely would hve made.the night more bearable. Weather was normal after that and we had a wonderful trip. I usually stay at the Normandy Inn when my wife and I visit Carmel which is a few times a year."

"The cottage was awesome. It was very clean and quiet. The parking was excellent. You get your own personal space. It felt very safe. "
