"Old hotel, amenities very limited, no worthied compare with price"

"The hotel was perfectly located… close enough to walk or bike to downtown, but just far enough to be away from the crowds. The bus stop is only a 2-minute walk. The hot tubs , sauna, and cold plunge were great. But the real star here is the staff! Every one of them were extremely helpful and charming. Would definitely stay here again!"

"What’s great: front desk staff, location What’s not: lack of room AC Free breakfast was decent, staff worked hard to keep place tidy. Plenty of underground parking spaces. Enjoyed the rustic feel of the lodge. The best feature of this place is its central location. Everywhere in Banff is an easy walk. "We stayed in the suite with two separate bedroom areas and a kitchen in between. It's older property and long overdue for renovation which doesn't bother me but might bother some. There are no blackout curtains and the curtains barely covered the window so it's very bright in the morning. The staff tried to be helpful but when my neighbors were repeatedly noisy starting at 10:45 p.m. it took a lot of prompting for the front desk to ask them to be quiet. For three nights in a row."

"Towels were not provided, which made it impossible to shower during my stay. A 4pm check-in is also not reasonable given the cost structure. This is not a nightly rate—you are effectively paying hourly. I checked in at 4pm as required and left at 5am, resulting in a 13-hour stay that did not reflect the price paid. In my view, the latest check-in should be 2pm, and basic amenities such as towels should be provided as a standard requirement anywhere in the world."

"The property is very dated. No air conditioning.....room was 79 deg. at night. Also, window coverings were very dated. Plumbing also very old."

"The rooms were modern and clean. The complimentary coffee service was nice. The fridge was nice to have, but there was no microwave, which is usually a standard feature. The mattresses were also too stiff for my liking. However, the restaurant on site was very nice and the food was delicious. The location was very good and made it easy to get to points of interest."

The Fox hotel though was amazing as always, the only thing I’d suggest is for when it’s the end of the day and you’re back in your room settling down id suggest bringing a chrome stick or something to stream Netflix or whatever platform because their TVs aren’t smart TVs."

"Very average for what you get but good value for staying so close to downtown Banff. The AC was very loud but worked quite well to cool the room. The bathroom sink had no counters so was a bit inconvenient to put toiletries. There was no closet, the room was basic. Overall not bad, would stay again since it’s much more affordable than other hotels nearby."
