"Perhaps it is a Scottish understanding but we were not familiar with the need to place a room key in a slot near the door to obtain any electricity to the room. It was not explained by the check-in clerk. We happened to see the key kiosk and tried it. Luckily it worked.
The complimentary breakfast was appreciated and nicely appointed"

"This hotel has potential but misses the mark. Rooms are tired and in need of some updating. Bathroom was dirty when we arrived and paint was peeling around all the windowsills. Room smelled stale and a little bit like cigarettes.
The staff were excellent. Very friendly and attentive and came to my room immediately to clean the bathroom when I mentioned it was dirty. Every staff member from front desk to the restaurant were very helpful and lovely to converse with.

"Hotel restaurant was good with a lot of choice and great prices. Bar was well stocked and rooms where clean lots of parking too. Only room downside was the fact there wasn't any lighting over or near any of the mirrors but beds where comfortable with plenty of storage and hangers. Would stay here again."

"First time back in many years after I used to stay there for work. Don’t remember quite so many pillows on the bed back then but if all else fails your can sleep sideways 😉. Only real gripe is that breakfast is £15! Coffee and a bacon butty was half the price and to be fair it was freshly made and very nice 😊"
