"An old fashioned hotel with a fabulous brealfast in the old dining room. Lots of open fires.
Unforunately the hotel is built over several levels with lots of creaking stairs . You will need help with your lugguage and it was provided. Hotel can be a bit noisy with the pub across the road and nearby construction. Safety handrails would be useful for getting out of the shower/bath."

"A very well thought out and highly functional design perfect for those traveling to and from the Edinburgh airport. It's quite a walk though with a lot of luggage - especially in inclement weather. "This was my third visit and it’s the reason I return to Scotland. The property is so unique and I always have an amazing time, so much so that I took my nephew from London! The team did a great job looking after us! The lady who checked us in and delivered our breakfast in the morning was a real gem; I can’t remember her name- but she was a genuinely lovely lady and I’m sure it won’t be long until we return!!! "We spent one night on our way to the airport. Two things to note: the hotel is right beside a very busy train track. If you are a light sleeper, then you should absolutely bring earplugs.
Secondly, it costs 15 pounds to park overnight as the car park is privately operated. It's the first time I experience that, and given the price we paid for the hotel for one night I found it usurious. It is also not disclosed until after you book."
