"The room was clean. Our sliding glass door lead to a small patio and beach area. Beautiful view. Large hot tub, nice pool. Staff was excellent! My son left his wallet in the room, after checkout. They called us, we was literally crossing the Ohio state line. They shipped the wallet to us. He had over $300 cash. It arrived in the mail with everything in it. Highly recommend this stay!"

"Staff very nice. Older hotel but our junior room was very big and nice, beds great. Food at restaurant was excellent and breakfast was wonderful! Hot tub and pool nice and shuttle (use Schepplers) to ferry very fast and convenient. Private beach nice with bonfire every night. Would stay here again."

"The room was clean and comfortable. The price was right. Staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't use the Air. Parking was limited couldn't park in front of the room. The is an older motel that has been updated. The walls are thin (older building) I could hear neighbors conversation. When someone left early the woke me up. I would stay again"

"My stay was pleasurable... It's hard to keep places free of seasonal flying bugs, and I'm no phobe...the lake was almost glass...2 geese families grazed the yard this morning until dog walker came. Still cool to see them all swimming together on the lake to escape. Recommend to stay here."

"Staff was exceptional! Room and hallways were very clean and neat! Continental breakfast included eggs/sausage, pancakes in addition to cereals, bagels, muffins—Very adequate. Lakeside room view of sunrise was amazing! Easy shuttle access to ferry. Very pleasant for two adults."

"The Island House was the perfect place to stay. Easy access to Main Street. The 1852 Restaurant was top notch. Many beautiful memories were made. I highly recommend this hotel/inn."

"The bathroom shower. Shower took forever to warm up and then never got hot shower level. The rest of the room is nice. If they could fix the shower we'd stay again."

"my phone didn’t work coffee pot inside my room was broke I thought for sure I would have had a new phone and coffee pot in my room. I will not be back!"

"Front desk employees were very friendly and helpful! Free hot breakfast had many choices. Property grounds were accommodating for relaxing outside by the lake front although we visited during the “midge fly season” and there was no way to avoid them but to stay inside."

"The hotel itself was adequate enough. The staff could have been friendlier - most of the employees we came into contact with acted like they had better things to do and just weren't very personable! I won't be back, there are better options out there."

"Worst stay ever. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the heater was not working properly. Despite the cold weather, the room never got warm enough, making the stay very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the shower curtain and curtain rod were already broken when we arrived, which showed a lack of maintenance and attention to basic room upkeep. Overall, the hotel did not meet even basic expectations for comfort and cleanliness. I would not stay here again."
