"Location was perfect right in the centre of historic Hawkshead ask about car parking at the primary school. On Suite was very small, the vanity didn’t drain properly, the sensor light is a pain when you don’t want to wake-up your partner at night! A common problem with all accommodation in the Uk is that only having a Duvet on the bed to hot to use and worst no top sheet, Duvets are to hot in winter because of the heating and to hot in summer with no air conditioning and with no ventilation...

"I had a great time staying at this lovely BnB. It was clean, and homely which is what one needs after travelling 24 hours. I arrived right after the peak summer but was still a bit warm, they provided the last fan available and it was great! Highly recommend this accommodation with many off street parking. I did not have breakfast at the property so am unable to comment on this. I'm pretty low maintenance as a traveller but the owners kept checking in on me as I was coming in and going out. This...

"Excellent Breakfast and good location."

"Beautiful property out of the bustle of nearby Ambleside or Hawkshead. Lovingly cared for and staffed. Gorgeous views, delicious breakfast and dinner, and a hot shower. Hikes out the door. 5 minute walk to Beatrix Potter's home at Hill Top. We hope to return."

"Very comfy and clean, lovely breakfast, great location"

"We had 2 very good nights sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. Funny was the mirror in the bathroom was fitted well high up, you can not see yourself if you are about 5 ft tall. The shower screen was a bit narrow for the long shower tray, the floor got very wet when having shower."

"Clean room good value"

"Friendly staff, near station and place to eat. But our room is on 3rd floor and no lift"

"Travelled to lake Windermere with two friends from USA. We all loved this place. Ideally located near the lake and restaurants. Richard and Paula made our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was the best. I will recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay and explore. Thank you."

"The host cancelled my booking the day before I was due to book in because I use a walking stick and the room was on the middle floor. When I made the booking there was no mention on the booking page about about difficulties I may have. The reason given was not enough room on the expedia page. I was also refused a refund, which I find very disappointing as it was the host who cancelled my booking, not myself. Very disappointed allround."
