"Overall, this is a good resort with good food, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a nice beach area. The pool is on the smaller side, but that didn’t bother us. The only downside for us was the lack of entertainment. Compared to other resorts we’ve visited, this one felt quite limited. Each night there was a singer in the lobby, but her performances were fairly mediocre and not engaging at all for a young crowd unfortunately. Only 2–3 nights featured a short show (about 45–50 minutes) in the ballroom, and those were scheduled around 7–8 PM, right when most people are heading to dinner. If your goal is to relax and unwind, this resort is a great choice but if you want more entertainment and fun, probably not a good choice. "

"We had to call everyday and ask for the fridge to be stocked towels and wash cloths food was less than mediocre. We were suppossed to get robes and slippers with the room we had to ask and the robes had no belts and the slippers looked used..there were not enough towels for the beach. Highly recommend you go somewhere else. Extremely disappointed stagf was unfriendly and really didn't care. Mirror in bathroom had black mold the frame "

"We really enjoyed our staying at GR Solaris. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The service and the amenities are top notch. Food and entertainment, especially the night shows, were excellent. Kids loved the playground area and the swimming pools, as well as the kids shows. We will most likely repeat our staying at this hotel if we travel back to Cancun! Perfect location just 10 min far from the airport and it has its own access to the beach. "

"Our experience was far from the 5-star standard advertised, and it ultimately resulted in my children getting sick. The conditions were so poor that we eventually had to move to another property just to save our vacation. The buffet was unacceptable. Food was rarely served hot and often sat for long periods without being replenished. This is a significant health red flag and likely does not follow basic food safety standards. The menu was repetitive, and the "clean" dishes were frequently dirty. Maintenance is dangerously lacking. I had no working outlets in my room for two days and had to hunt across the property just to find a place to charge a phone. Even worse, there were electrical switches with no covers in our bathroom, posing a clear hazard. Most alarming, however, were the lights inside the pool, which were leaking electricity and zapping guests. When we reported this life-threatening hazard to the staff, they were completely indifferent. This level of negligence is staggering.The water park needs attention to maintenance and, inconveniently, has no bathrooms in the immediate area. The bathrooms near the pool are too small for the volume of guests and were consistently unhygienic. While seaweed is natural, the beach was littered with plastic cups and trash; entertainment was the poorest quality I have seen at any Riu property. The staff, particularly at check-in, were rude and unwelcoming. We moved to the Riu Ventura, 5 star professionally managed property."
