The resort is only 7 years old, but put on your glasses and look carefully and there is a lot of wear and tear - broken railings, missing room numbers, chipped paint (or shoddily repainted spots). The gym equipment was in need of massive maintenance, too, with some exercises not doable due to the shape of equipement. The food varied and was generally pretty good. (Tip: the seafood place near the beach has better steak than the steak house). The staff were generally wonderful. My biggest gripe was the lack of a coffee shop - I was directed to the lobby bar for coffee. Their sister resort next door has this figured out - they have a wonderful little coffee shop with coffee and pastries and ice cream open from 7am to midnight. We went there a couple of times before we were told by security that we were not welcome to enjoy the amenities next door (despite the resort being "Majestic" and there being no fence or sign along the beach). The roof-top pool rooms were amazing - easily a highlight for us. Overall 7/10, not terrible but would not return.

We had Krystel from guest services who helped us out and who really went above and beyond to help make sure our stay was perfect and we got amazing service. We had a couple issues with our room and as soon as I told her she promptly had them resolved. Food and drinks were good. I had read some reviews that said overwise but we found all the restaurants to be really good. The buffet was very similar every day for breakfast and lunches. We never did the buffet for dinner. The bars were stocked with premium liquors and good wine so we were able to get whatever drinks we wanted which was nice. Beach was great. The waters are calm here and the seaweed was cleaned up daily which made it really enjoyable to swim. Kid friendly, our kids are young so we didn’t use the kids or teen clubs but they had daily activities beside the pool that our 3 year old loved.

Beach was amazing. Resort was very modern and beautiful. Food was good (not spectacular) and staff were friendly and helpful. One downside was the "butler" experience. 2 butlers were assigned to us and neither one even tried to meet us during our week. One wanted to"say hello" on our last day, I assume to collect a tip for sending a Whattsapp message each day to simply say she was there. Also, the adult only pool area was always full of ants. I never saw anyone hosing the spilled sugary drinks from the pool deck at any point during the week and I would use bottles water to soak the area around my chairs to deter the ants. There was also black mold in the grout lines of the pool and I never saw anyone clean the pool all week which makes me suspect deficiencies in other areas of cleaning. Entertainment was ok. The best entertainment was the live band that plays for short periods in the main square after the theatre shows. Wish there was more of that. For the price I expected a bit higher level experience but if you are a beach person you will not be disappointed.

Hands down the best resort I’ve been to in the area. The food had flavor and was seasoned well. The restaurant selections on site was plentiful. I can’t say enough about the spa… it was absolutely divine! Drinks were delicious. Best vacation I’ve ever been on. We stayed at at Club Elegance which was the all adult side.

Don’t trust the reviews! Majestic Elegance is not worth even one star. Property is not well maintained. Rooms are dirty,suite pool and main pools poorly maintained. Food terrible. If you are looking at Majestic experience BOOK WITH MAJESTIC MIRAGE. Property is clean, food is excellent and staff are very friendly and go over and beyond to make your vacation unforgettable experience.

We stayed at Majestic elegance for one week with my wife and our 4 year old son. The resort is amazing, always clean, staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcomed all over the resort. The selection and variety of food is amazing with lots of restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed the daily and nightly entertainment and there was always something to do with our little guy. Big thank you to all the staff and we highly recommend this resort for anyone that values good food and amazing service. Special thank you to Krystel for making our stay feel special and catering to all of our needs. She was amazing and a great person. She takes pride in her job and ensuring we were happy daily. We really enjoyed our special friends at the Lively Bar at the pool and want to thank them all for an amazing time. Thank you to Sandra, Jesus, Leo, Santiago, Sylvia, Victor, Escamilla. We had a great time during our stay here! A few things that would have made it exceptional would have been; a better Ac unit in the room, better quality food at the buffet, and scheduled room cleaning. To start the ac unit did work in our room just not very well. We had a hard time cooling the room off enough to sleep. Most nights we slept with no blankets due to poor cooling. The buffet has a ton of options but most isn’t worth trying. With the exception of some basic options I’d recommend sticking to the other restaurants which had great food. The last thing that would have been icing in the cake is schedule room cleaning because several times we would come back to the room being cleaned or they hadn’t been yet so we didn’t feel comfortable staying in our room. I only had one person from the staff I didn’t care for. Every other person went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience. The beach was full of seaweed but not much could be done about that. The pool was great but there’s only two small pools for the whole family side which at times felt crowded. The views are excellent and we enjoyed being on the top floor with roof jacuzzi. Overall a very fun experience.

El hotel está bien para su precio, pero deja mucho que desear en temas de servicio. Particularmente el personal de recepción atiende de manera muy antipática, sin ganas de darle la bienvenida a los huéspedes, dejando una pésima primera impresión. No nos explicaron prácticamente nada del lugar: horarios, restaurantes, actividades, la app, etc. Tuvimos nosotros que preguntar todo para obtener la información. Nos atendieron tres personas diferentes en recepción y pareciera que a todos les indican hablar sin ganas. Además, se siente una marcada diferencia en el trato hacia los mexicanos comparado con los extranjeros y los huéspedes del "Elegance Club" en todos lados menos en los restaurantes. A las instalaciones les hace falta mantenimiento y limpieza. Los elevadores tienen dañados los botones y en las habitaciones muy pocos de los enchufes funcionan. La mejor comida la encuentras en el restaurante buffet Flavors, los restaurantes de especialidad no tienen nada de especial en cuanto a los platillos aunque sí están decorados de acuerdo a la temática. Mi esposa y yo estábamos celebrando nuestro primer aniversario, cosa que confirmamos tanto en el pre check in como en el check in cuando nos preguntaron. Sin embargo, resulta extraño que te pregunten si celebran una ocasión especial y no te dejen un detalle en la habitación. No fue sino hasta contactar con Kristel de Guest Services para explicarle lo sucedido que ella organizó el detalle para nuestra tercera noche.
